Play QAFLW in 2020

Congratulations on taking your first step to playing QAFLW footy in 2020!

We Have 5 Spots AVAILABLE on Our 2020 Players List… Is One of Them Going to be YOU?

The Coorparoo Kings Women’s program has been a powerhouse of women’s footy for many years. We’ve played in 6 of the last 7 GRAND FINALS and are the current 2019 QAFLW premiers!

It’s not just our club and women’s program that’s a success, individually we have produced many AFLW players, including, Paige Parker, Tori Groves Little, Jade Ellinger, Jesse Wardlaw and we think in this year’s draft we could have as many as another 6 draftees to enter the AFLW either with the Suns or the Lions.

But Coops footy club isn’t just about success. We are a family orientated, inclusive club. Both our men’s and women’s programs run side-by-side with neither outshining the other. Both groups support each other and share in all the club’s successes on and off the field.

We also understand that footy and life for that matter are not all roses and balloons … so as a club we engage in programs to help our players off the field too.

Our club has a strong presence in the AFL community and we’re built on family values with good people who care about each other first.

This coming season we are running our first ever Draft Combine Day. This will incorporate all the features of the AFL/AFLW NAB Rising Star Draft Combine. This will include:

  • Anthropometry (height, body mass, handspan, arm length)
  • Vertical Jump
  • 20m Sprint
  • AFL Agility Run
  • Endurance; Yo-Yo IR2
  • Nathan Buckley Kicking Test
  • Brad Johnson Goal Kicking Test

We are a progressive club and believe there’s plenty of female footballers out there who are good enough to play QAFLW footy but haven’t yet had the opportunity… And we want to give you and others that opportunity.

So, come along and test yourself on the same testing level as the AFLW girls do, right before they make the big time!

Who knows the next Jessica Wuetschner or Emma Zielke could be you!
