Round 05

Round 5 wrap up

What a killer week the Kings had securing 4 out of 6 wins on the scoreboard but 6 out of 6 wins for skill improvement and game time.

Both the men and womens senior team secured over 100 point wins, destroying the opposition and showcasing the talent that the Coorparoo kings have among the club. The fluent transitions from training into the 2017 season, is impressive to all and suggests that the senior teams are harnessing superior talent coupled with committed players ready to smash the 2017 season.
Both reserves team had a hard fought fight but got themselves over the line through grit and hard work with smart ball play. The form of both teams is improving each week, showcasing the hard work the players are putting into training and proving the force that is the Coorparoo Kings.

The thirds teams may not have won on the scoreboard the exposure to the game, especially for the women, is a win of the scoreboard and something both teams should be proud off. Whilst possession of the ball was high, the inability to maximise led to the disappointing loss for the teams however left strong building blocks for the future.
The admiration and hard work among the Kings has produced a killer week for the Kings and the players are ready to back it up with another set of exciting games this weekend. – Jessie Sloan
